Founded by Auguste Agassiz and his partners Henri Raiguel and Floria Morel in 1832, Longines began producing timepieces in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Upon his retirement, Agassiz brought on his nephew, Ernest
Francillon, in 1852, who spearheaded the movement to purchase land for a factory and modernize production.  The factory was built in an area known for its long meadows (les longines), which the company eventually adopted as its name, Longines, in 1867.  

The Longines Spirit Bucherer BLUE Ref L3.829.2.99.2 features a 42mm PVD/DLC coated case with a sapphire crystal.  The black dial features
Arabic numerals with a Bucherer Blue accent ring around the minute track, three sub-dials at the three, six, and nine o’clock positions, and the Longines logo beneath the twelve o’clock position, with the
chronometer text and five stars in Bucherer Blue.  The Spirit Ref L3.829.2.99.2 is powered by the COSC-certified Calibre L688.4 movement with a 66-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 100
meters.

This Longines Spirit Bucherer BLUE Ref L3.829.2.99.2 was initially purchased in May 2023 and is under the manufacturer's warranty through May 2028.  This timepiece includes the outer and inner boxes, the
instruction manual, hangtag, warranty card, COSC certification card, and the original Longines textile strap with a DLC-coated buckle.
