About the Watch:

The Planet Ocean line was launched in 2005 as an homage to Omega’s dive watch heritage. The 600M Co-Axial Chronometer features a Co-Axial Calibre 8500 self-winding in both directions, free spring-balance movement, with two barrels mounted in series. With a power reserve of 60 hours and a water resistance rating of 600 meters, the 600M Co-Axial Chronometer is designed to withstand the harshest of environments while maintaining the stylish and classic look of the Seamaster.

The History:

The Seamaster is the longest-running product line in the Omega lineup. Originally produced in 1948 for the British Navy, the Seamaster marked the first use of the O-ring gasket for water resistance by Omega.

The Watch:

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Chronometer features a 45.5mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire crystal exhibition case back. The dial is matte black, with lumed hour plots, lumed hour, minute and second hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel features a black ceramic insert. The Calibre 8500 movement is visible through the exhibition case back and is decorated with Geneva waves in arabesque.

The Details:

This Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Chronometer Ref 232.30.46.21.01.001 is in good condition. The case, lugs, and case back show very little wear, as visible in the photographs.
