About the Watch:
The Planet Ocean line was launched in 2005 as an homage to Omega’s dive watch heritage. The 600M Co-Axial Chronometer features a Co-Axial Calibre 8500 self-winding in both directions, free spring-balance movement, with two barrels mounted in series. With a power reserve of 60 hours and a water resistance rating of 600 meters, the 600M Co-Axial Chronometer is designed to withstand the harshest of environments while maintaining the stylish and classic look of the Seamaster.
The Seamaster is the longest-running product line in the Omega lineup. Originally produced in 1948 for the British Navy, the Seamaster marked the first use of the O-ring gasket for water resistance by Omega.
The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Chronometer features a 45.5mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire crystal exhibition case back. The dial is matte black, with lumed hour plots, lumed hour, minute and second hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel features a black ceramic insert. The Calibre 8500 movement is visible through the exhibition case back and is decorated with Geneva waves in arabesque.
This Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Chronometer Ref 184.108.40.206.01.001 is in good condition. The case, lugs, and case back show very little wear, as visible in the photographs. The outer edges of the stainless steel bezel have some scratches and nicks, and there is a small nick in the crystal at the edge near the 5 o’clock position. This piece comes with the stainless steel Omega bracelet only.
