  • The History:

LeCoultre traces its origins to 1833, when Antoine LeCoultre founded a watchmaking workshop in Le Sentier, in Switzerland's Vallée de Joux. The company quickly earned a reputation for technical innovation, developing precision manufacturing techniques and creating hundreds of watch calibers, including some of the world's thinnest movements. In 1937, LeCoultre merged with the French watchmaker Edmond Jaeger to form
Jaeger-LeCoultre, combining Swiss craftsmanship with French design expertise. Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre is recognized as one of Switzerland's premier luxury watch manufacturers, celebrated for iconic collections such as the Reverso and its long tradition of in-house mechanical innovation.

  • The Watch:

The LeCoultre 2052-1 features a 10K Yellow Gold-Filled case and a double crown, with the top crown for setting the alarm and the bottom crown for winding the watch and setting time.  The two-tone dial features an outer ring with applied indices and Arabic numerals, a silver inner ring with lumed hour markers, an inner alarm dial with a large triangle for setting the alarm time, lumed hour and minute hands, and a blued seconds hand.  The manual-wind Caliber 814 movement powers the 2052-1.
