  • The History:

The Cartier brand was founded in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier in Paris.  In 1904, his grandson Louis developed the brand’s first wristwatch at the request of Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont.  The first design featured a flat face, a square bezel, and a simple-to-read dial.  Cartier named the watch the Santos, and it became Cartier’s first wristwatch for men.

The Cartier Tank Solo Quartz Ref 2715 features a 28mm X 34mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a synthetic blue-jeweled cabochon crown.  The silver-white dial features Roman numerals, a railroad-style minute track, and blued hour and minute hands.  A Cartier quartz movement powers the 2715.
