IWC Portofino Chronograph IW378302
About the Watch:
The IWC Portofino Chronograph IW378302’s design is based on the original Portofino 5251, with updated features, including a triple-register dial, a day-date window, and a modern case size of 41mm. Utilizing gold detailing on the hour markers, hands, and chronograph registers, the Portofino Chronograph has the aesthetics of a classic dress watch, that transitions to sports wear with ease.
Founded in 1868 by an American watchmaking pioneer, Florentine Ariosto Jones, the International Watch Company launched in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Nestled on the banks of the Rhine River, IWC’s factory began its pursuit of manufacturing watches of the highest quality, utilizing modern technology, as well as some of Switzerland’s most talented watchmakers.
The IWC Portofino Chronograph IW378302 has a 41mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a solid case back and rectangular chronograph pushers. The dial is silver, with a sunburst pattern, and has gold stick hour markers, as well as gold Feuille-shaped hands, vertically-stacked hour and minute sub-dials with a smaller seconds dial at the 9 o’clock position, and a day-date window at the 3 o’clock position. Powered by a Calibre 79320 automatic movement, the Portofino Chronograph has a power reserve of 44 hours and a water resistance rating of 30 meters.
This IWC Portofino Chronograph is in good condition. There is visible wear on the case, case back, and lugs. There is a scratch on the crystal on the right side of the dial between the 1 and 3 o’clock positions. This set comes with double boxes, a dated guarantee card, and a black alligator leather strap with stainless steel IWC buckle.
