  • The History:

Beginning in 1860, Guido Panerai & Figlio in Florence, Italy, began producing high-precision instruments built for the Royal Italian Navy.  In 1938, Officine Panerai started producing wristwatches for the Italian Navy Commandos, initially with the Radiomir and later the
Luminor.  It wasn’t until 1993 that they began to make versions of the Radiomir, as well as the Luminor, for sale to the public internationally.

The Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic PAM00048 features a 40mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a solid case back.  The matte black dial features applied lumed hour markers, with Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, a magnified date window at the 3 o’clock position, and a small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position.  Powered by the automatic Caliber  OP III movement, the PAM48 has a
42-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 300 meters.
