More Info
  • The History:

Seiko began its rich history in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop repairing and selling watches in central Tokyo.  Eleven years later, he opened a factory called the Seikosha Factory and began building wall clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, which began what we know as Seiko today.  A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese-made diver’s watch.

  • The Watch:

The Seiko Pepsi features a 40mm stainless steel case with a fixed blue-and-red tachymeter scale bezel and a hardlex crystal.  The dial features a bi-directional rotating inner bezel ring, a sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position, and day-and-date windows at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by the automatic Seiko Caliber 6139 movement, the Pepsi features a quick-set day/date feature that is operated by pushing the crown in.

  • The Details:

This Seiko Pepsi Ref 6139-6002 dates to a production year of 1971. It has recently received a full movement service in July 2026 and comes on a blue leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
