The Tag Heuer Formula 1 Ref WAH1011 hails from their celebrated Formula 1 Racing series timepieces, which honor the brand's involvement in Formula 1.  With its distinct monochrome panda-style fully lumed dial and integrated case design, the WAH1011 is a sporty and robust quartz timepiece from a brand with a rich history in automotive racing. 

The History:  Heuer brand was created in 1860, and specialized in stopwatches and chronographs.  Their focus was on instruments used in sports, such as dashboard timers.  However, the focus shifted for Heuer brands in the late 1950s, and early 1960s, as the popularity of chronograph wristwatches was gaining momentum.  In 1962, when Jack Heuer, a race car driver, and motorsport enthusiast, became head of the company, he spearheaded the creation of the Carrera watch.  

The Watch:  The Formula 1 Ref WAH1011 features a 44mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal.  Powered by a Ronda Quartz Calibre 6004.B movement, the WAH1011 has a water resistance rating of 200 meters.  The unidirectional rotating bezel is black with brushed metallic numerals at 5-minute intervals.  The white dial is fully lumed, with black Arabic numerals and a black small seconds sub-dial with a date window at the 6 o’clock position.  The pencil-shaped hands are also lumed.  

The Details:  This Tag Heuer Formula 1 Ref WAH1011 is in good condition.  The case and lugs show minimal wear, while the black bezel coating has some minor scuffs at the edges and on the crown guard, which are visible in the photographs.  The stainless steel Tag Heuer bracelet and clasp are in very good condition.  This timepiece comes with original outer and inner boxes, serial number hang tag, instruction manual, and guarantee card.
