The Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst Series 1 is an officially licensed tribute to the British Army. Named after the acclaimed Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Berkshire, the C65 Sandhurst also marks another milestone for Christopher Ward. It marks the company’s first foray into the field watch genre and doubles as a reminder of the continuum of British watch design throughout the ages.

The History:

The Christopher Ward Watch Company was founded in 2004 by Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ward. They launched their first online-only watch brand in 2005, featuring Swiss movements and focusing on direct-to-consumer sales. A key milestone was the development of their in-house movement, Calibre SH21, in 2014, which was a significant achievement for a British watch brand.

The Watch:

The Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst Series 1 features a 38mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, a signed crown with the twin flag motif, and a screw down case back with the British Army Heraldic Badge in relief.  The matte black dial features Arabic numerals with Old
Radium-colored lume for the hour markers and on the hour and minute hands.  The running seconds hand is white with a red-tipped end.  Powered by a COSC-Certified Sellita SW200 movement, the C65 Sandhurst features a 38-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 150 meters.

The Details:

This Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst Series 1 includes the outer box sleeve, the inner box, the warranty card, the owner's handbook, the manufacturer's welcome booklet, the document holder, the hang tag, a polishing cloth, and the original tan canvas and leather Christopher Ward strap with a stainless steel Christopher Ward buckle.
