The History:
Founded in 1939 by Morris Wein, Marathon Watch Company initially supplied timepieces to North American retailers. A pivotal moment occurred in 1941, when Marathon began producing and providing timepieces to the Allied Forces, a tradition that continues to this day. Known for producing durable, reliable, and accurate timepieces that are built to military specifications, Marathon watches are designed in Canada and manufactured in Switzerland.

The Marathon GSAR Automatic Ref. WW194006SS-0009 features a 41mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel, complete with a black anodized aluminum insert featuring a 60-minute countdown scale. The black dial features applied tritium gas tubes on the hour markers and a syringe-style handset, along with a 12-hour scale and an inner 24-hour scale, as well as a date window positioned between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions. Powered by an automatic Marathon M2 Movement, the GSAR Automatic has a 42-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 1000 meters.
