More Info
  • The History:

In the mid-1980s, the Canadian government contracted with the Marathon Watch Company of Montreal, a long-time supplier of timing instruments to allied forces since World War II, to produce timepieces for several branches of the Canadian Military. To fulfill specific contracts, these military tool watches were branded “Adanac.” Adanac isn’t a standalone watch company in the traditional sense—it’s actually “Canada” spelled backwards, a brand name used for military-issue watches supplied to the Canadian Armed Forces.

  • The Watch:

The 1986 Adanac Military Diver / Navigator features a 40mm asymmetrical stainless steel case with a bidirectional 0-11 rotating bezel, and an acrylic crystal.  The matte black dial features both a 12-hour and a
24-hour scale, with tritium-lumed hour indices and hands.  The timepiece is powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement.

  • The Details:

This 1986 Adanac Military Diver / Navigator features a black NATO Zulu strap with a stainless steel buckle. After setting the time on this timepiece, you must first push the crown back in and wind it counter-clockwise until you feel a click. Then you can proceed to screw the crown down clockwise until it is in its closed position.
