Mido Ocean Star GMT, Full Set

Founded in 1918 by Georges Scharen in Switzerland, the earliest Mido timepieces were inspired by the growing interest in the automotive industry.  Early case shapes of pieces produced in the 1920s resembled the radiator grilles of early Buick, Fiat, and Bugatti automobiles.  Innovations such as the Aquadura, a cork-crown sealing system for water resistance introduced in 1930, and the Multifort, an automatic movement with built-in anti-magnetic and shock-resistant features, helped Mido become known for its technical innovation and timeless designs.

The Mido Ocean Star GMT features a 44mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a rotating bezel with a ceramic insert.  The black dial features lumed hour markers, an outer 24-hour GMT dial, lumed hands, an arrow-tipped seconds hand with orange accents, a larger orange arrow-tipped lumed GMT hand, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position.  The Ocean Star GMT is powered by the Caliber 80 automatic movement and has a 200-meter water resistance rating.

This Mido Ocean Star GMT includes the original outer and inner boxes, the warranty card, the customer service booklet, the instruction booklet, and the original stainless steel Mido bracelet.
