Seiko began its rich history in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in central Tokyo, repairing and selling watches.  Eleven years later, he established the Seikosha Factory and began manufacturing wall clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, marking the beginning of what is now known as Seiko.  A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese-made divers’ watch.

The Seiko SRPH23K1 features a 39.4mm stainless steel case with a domed Hardlex crystal and an exhibition case back.  The black dial features lumed hour markers, an outer 5-55 minute scale with an inner hour scale, a day and date window at the 3 o’clock position, lumed sword-shaped hour and minute hands, and a lollipop-style seconds hand.  Powered by a Caliber 4R36 movement, the SRPH23K1 has a 41-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 100 meters.

This Seiko SRPH23K1 includes the original outer and inner boxes, the guarantee and instruction booklet, the warranty card dated to the original purchase date of January 2025, the hang tag, and the original Seiko stainless steel mesh bracelet.
