  • The History:

Bulova was founded in 1879 by Joseph Bulova, a Czech expatriate who came to America in 1860 at age 9.  The brand quickly gained recognition for its innovative, high-quality timepieces.  When Bulova opened a factory in Bienne, Switzerland, in 1912, it continued to push the envelope in technological advances and brand recognition, becoming the first watch brand to advertise on the radio in 1923 and later the first on television in 1941.

  • The Watch:

The Bulova Accutron Spaceview features a 34mm 14K solid gold case with spiral lugs, a domed acrylic crystal, and a solid case back.  The open-view dial shows the Caliber 214 quartz movement's internal tuning fork coils and circuitry.

  • The Details:

The Bulova Accutron Spaceview includes an aftermarket brown leather strap and a new battery. The ends of the lugs are slightly bent inward toward one another.
