  • The History:

Cartier was founded in 1847 in Paris by Louis-François Cartier.  In
1904, his grandson Louis developed the brand’s first wristwatch at the request of Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. The first design featured a flat face, a square bezel, and a simple-to-read dial.  Cartier named the watch the Santos, and it became Cartier’s first wristwatch for men.

The Cartier Santos Ronde Quartz Ref 8191 features a 27mm stainless steel case with an 18K yellow gold bezel, a sapphire crystal, a blue cabochon-jeweled crown, and an integrated steel bracelet with gold screws. The white dial features an outer railroad-style minute track, Roman numerals, and blued hour and minute hands.  The Santos Ronde is powered by a Cartier Quartz movement.
