The History:

Damasko is a family-run company founded in 1989 by Konrad Damasko.  His focus was not just on making a nice wristwatch; he wanted to create a wristwatch that could withstand anything.  One that would not only continue to be reliable but also one that would look as good as it did out of the box for years to come.

The Watch:

The Damasko DA38 features a 40mm ice-hardened stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal.  The crown system was designed and built in-house and includes crown tubes that screw directly into the case versus the pressure-fit style most manufacturers utilize, with a self-lubricating system that continues to oil the shaft and crown gaskets.  The dial features the classic Flieger triangle at the 12 o’clock position, with large Arabic-style numerals, large sword-style hour and minute hands in white, and a blue seconds hand.  A day and date window is located just beneath the 3 o’clock position, underneath the Damasko logo.  The matte black dial also features a cross-hair design that sections the dial into quadrants. Powered by an ETA 2836-2 movement, the DA36 has a 41-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 100 meters.

The Details:

This Damasko DA38 shows some wear on the case, as visible in the photographs. There are some marks on the AR coating of the crystal, which are also visible in the photographs of this timepiece.  Included
with this timepiece is a blue Damasko NATO-style strap with a stainless steel buckle.
