  • The History:

The brand’s origins began with the partnership in 1856 between Dr. Joseph Girard and Urs Schild.  They started a watch movement factory in Grenchen, which produced semi-finished and fully finished movements and innovated the production process by developing automatic manufacturing machines that could be powered by natural stream water and steam engines.  The company’s first fully produced timepiece was released in 1876, with innovative timepieces following, such as the first series-production alarm wristwatch in 1914.

The Eterna Eterna-Matic 3003 features a 34.5mm stainless steel tonneau-shaped 149 T case with an acrylic crystal. The silver textured dial features painted black Roman numeral hour markers and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The Eterna-matic is powered by the Caliber 1504K, 21-jewel self-winding movement. It utilizes a push/pull crown mechanism for quick date setting.
