Girard Perregaux 1966 40mm Ref 49555-11-434-BH6A, Full Set

Girard-Perregaux traces its origins to 1791, when watchmaker and goldsmith Jean-François Bautte signed his first watches, establishing a manufacturer in Geneva that handled all facets of watchmaking, from engineering to hand assembly and polishing of each timepiece.  In 1852, Constant Girard founded Girard & Cie. Upon marrying Marie Perregaux in 1856, they established the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture.  When Girard’s son took over control in 1906, he acquired the Bautte House from the heirs of Jean-François Bautte.  The company manufactures its own movements and handles every step of production, from engineering and design to polishing, assembly, and final encasement of each timepiece.

The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Ref. 4955-11-434-BH6A features a 40mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and an exhibition case back.  The blue dial features a sunburst pattern, with stick-shaped hour markers, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. Powered by the automatic Caliber GP03300 movement, the GP 1966 features a 46-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 30 meters.

This Girard-Perregaux 1966 includes the original outer box, the inner wooden Girard-Perregaux case, the warranty card, the owner's manual, and the original Girard-Perregaux black leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
