Founded in 1914 by watchmaker Eugène Meylan in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, Glycine has built a legacy of Swiss watchmaking defined by precision, innovation, and practical design. Initially specializing in miniature movements, the company gained international recognition in 1953 with the introduction of the iconic Airman, a pioneering pilot’s watch designed to track multiple time zones using a 24-hour dial. The Airman later accompanied NASA astronaut Charles “Pete” Conrad on the Gemini 5 mission in 1965, cementing Glycine’s place in aviation and space exploration history. Today, under Invicta Watch Group's ownership, Glycine continues to honor its heritage through its celebrated Airman and Combat collections.
