Grand Seiko Automatic GMT Green SBGM247, Full Set

In 1960, a specialized group of craftsmen set out to design and create an in-house movement for Seiko, resulting in the Calibre 3180.  This movement became the foundation for a new line of Seiko timepieces, which would later evolve into the Grand Seiko.  The pursuit was to create the “ideal watch” in every way, from precision and legibility to beauty.  Having conquered the movement, the designers next set out to make a case and finish that modeled their idea of beauty, including zaratsu
polishing.  This polishing process produces a mirror-like finish on the case, as well as on the hands and indices, which give the Grand Seiko its distinct appearance.

The Grand Seiko SBGM247 features a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, a steel GMT bezel, and the crown at the 4 o’clock position.  The green dial features a gradient sunray pattern, applied zaratsu-polished hour markers, zaratsu-polished hour, minute, and seconds hands, a lumed orange GMT hand, and a date window at the 4 o’clock position.  Powered by the Caliber 9S66 automatic movement, the SBGM247 features a 72-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 200 meters.

This Grand Seiko SBGM247 includes the original outer and inner boxes, the operating instructions booklet, the warranty booklet, the warranty card, the certificate holder, the Grand Seiko inspection certificate, the serial number hangtags, the Grand Seiko handling cloth, and the original stainless steel bracelet.
