The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Reveil Memovox Ref. 141.8.97 is a refined interpretation of one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most celebrated complications, combining classic dress watch proportions with the brand’s legendary Memovox alarm function. Introduced in the 1990s as part of the early Master Control collection, the 39mm stainless steel case houses the automatic JLC alarm caliber and features the signature dual-crown layout that independently controls the time and mechanical alarm. Its silver dial, applied markers, dauphine hands, and central rotating alarm disc create an elegant yet highly functional aesthetic, while the crisp mechanical chime offers a uniquely charming reminder of the golden era of complicated Swiss watchmaking. Revered for its understated design and technical sophistication, the Reveil Memovox remains one of the most versatile and collectible modern Jaeger-LeCoultre references.

  • The History:

Jaeger-LeCoultre began its start in 1833 with Antoine LeCoultre in Le Sentier, Switzerland.  Antoine had invented a machine to cut watch pinions and later developed what was considered to be the world’s most accurate measuring instrument, the Millionométre.  In 1903, a challenge was introduced to Swiss watchmakers by Edmond Jaeger to successfully produce an ultra-thin movement, designed by Jaeger.  Antoine LeCoultre’s grandson accepted that challenge, and in 1907, produced the thinnest pocket watch movement, which led to the eventual founding of Jaeger LeCoultre.

  • The Watch:

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Reveil Memovox Ref 141.8.97 features a 38.5 mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a solid case back.  The silver dial features a rotating center disc to set the bell alarm, a silver sunburst pattern outer ring with applied hour markers, Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, a date window at the 3 o’clock position, tritium lume plots, and tritium lumed dauphine-style hour and minute hands.  The Master Control Reveil Memovox is powered by the automatic Caliber 918 movement with an alarm feature.

  • The Details:

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Reveil Memovox Ref 141.8.97 was produced in 1996, and includes the original outer and inner boxes, and a black leather Jaeger-LeCoultre strap with a stainless steel deployant clasp.
