A stylish two-tone dial with an Art Deco aesthetic, the Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo draws its inspiration from a mid-1940s Longines timepiece that featured a similar case design, with elongated lugs, a thin bezel, and a larger crown guard.

  • The History:

Founded by Auguste Agassiz and his partners, Henri Raiguel and Floria Morel, in 1832, Longines began producing timepieces in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Upon his retirement, Agassiz brought on his nephew, Ernest
Francillon, in 1852, spearheaded the movement to purchase land for a factory and modernize production.  The factory was built in an area known for its long meadows (les longines), which the company eventually
adopted as its name, Longines, in 1867.

The Longines Heritage Classic Tuxedo Ref L2.330.4.93.0 features a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a signed crown and a sapphire crystal.  The sectored dial features an outer black ring with large Arabic numerals, a center white dial, and a separate small seconds dial positioned at 6 o’clock.  Powered by a Caliber L893.5 movement, the Heritage Classic Tuxedo features a 64-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 30 meters.
