The History:
Mathey-Tissot was founded in 1886 in the Jura mountains in Switzerland. Initially specializing in “repeater” watches, the company quickly moved to chronograph production and was honored with multiple awards for its design, accuracy, and craftsmanship. During World War I, they were called upon to supply chronograph pieces to the US Military, which later led to their use by both the US and British Military during World War II. Massena Labs is a design studio led by William Massena. Massena began as a passionate collector and active participant in the world of horology, which has led to design collaborations with some of the most renowned watchmakers in the world.
The Watch:
The Mathey-Tissot X Massena Labs Type XX features a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a bidirectional 12-hour bezel and a highly domed mineral crystal with sapphire coating.
