Released in 2020, the Ming 18.01 H41 is a unique dive watch with a titanium case, flared lugs, and a futuristic dial layout with two-level sapphire construction. It is also the first Ming timepiece to feature a running seconds hand.  Every part of the dial that is white is covered with SuperLuminova in various forms, including the sapphire-infused HyCeram ceramic and composite on the dial ring, which gives the 18.01 H41 its signature Ming aesthetic.

  • The History:

Horologer MING is an independent watchmaking company led by Ming Thein, an established designer, photographer, and watch enthusiast. Based in
Kuala Lumpur, MING works with highly esteemed watchmakers in Switzerland, such as Agenhor, Schwarz-Etienne, La-Joux Perret, and Sellita. All design, engineering, and final quality control take place in Kuala Lumpur.

  • The Watch:

The Ming Diver 18.01 H41 features a 40mm Grade 5 titanium case with Ming’s signature flared lugs, a lumed unidirectional 60-click rotating bezel, a screw down crown with triple gaskets and a red safety indicator, and a sapphire crystal.  The dial is a two-level sapphire construction, utilizing a composite dial with ceramic HyCeram Super-LumiNova X1 fused to sapphire.  Silver hour, minute, and second hands are filled with Super-LumiNova X1.  Powered by an ETA 2824-2 movement, which was modified for Ming by Schwarz-Etienne, the 18.01 H41 has a 40-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 1000 meters.
