  • The History:

Founded in the Swiss town of Holstein in 1904, Oris began as a pocket watchmaker.  After taking over an existing watch-making factory, they produced their own products until 1925, when they first began making bracelet buckles to fit their pocket watches.  That's when they transformed the company into a full-fledged producer of high-quality wristwatches, a role it continues to play today.

  • The Watch:

The Oris 7459-40 features a 31.5mm stainless steel case, an acrylic crystal, and a solid case back.  The black dial features a center section with a sunburst pattern, an outer ring with lumed Arabic numerals, a small seconds dial with a concentric circle pattern at the 6 o’clock position, a date window at the 12 o’clock position, and syringe-style hour and minute hands.  A 17-jewel manual-wind Oris Caliber 366 movement powers the Ref 7459-40.
