  • The History:

Founded in the Swiss town of Holstein in 1904, Oris began as a pocket watchmaker.  After taking over an existing watch-making factory, they produced their own products until 1925, when they first began making bracelet buckles to fit their pocket watches.  That is when they transformed the company into a full-fledged producer of high-quality wristwatches, a role it continues to play today.

The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Ref 7400C features a 32mm stainless steel case with a plexiglas crystal, a coin-edge bezel, a large signed crown, and an exhibition case back.  The white dial features an outer date ring, an inner guilloche-pattern ring with both Arabic numeral and arrow-shaped hour markers, cathedral-style hour and minute hands, and a date hand with a red crescent-shaped tip.  The Ref 7400C is powered by the 17-jewel Oris
584 automatic movement.
