About This Watch:
The Oris Divers Sixty Five Caliber 400 marks the second collaboration between Oris and Hodinkee. This limited edition piece has a production run of only 400 numbered timepieces and features the impressive Caliber 400 Automatic movement with a 5-day power reserve. With its vintage-inspired aesthetics, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five is sure to become a favorite among tool watch collectors. The History: Founded in the Swiss town of Holstein in 1904, Oris began as a pocket watchmaker. Their takeover of an existing watch-making factory led to the production of their products until 1925, when they first began producing bracelet buckles to fit their pocket watches. It was then that they transformed the company into a full-fledged producer of quality wristwatches, which continues today.
The Watch: The Oris Divers Sixty Five Caliber 400 features a 38mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal and an exhibition case back. The forest green no-date dial features Super Luminova-lumed hour markers and hands and a black ceramic unidirectional rotating dive bezel. One of the most impressive components of the Divers Sixty-Five is the in-house Caliber 400 self-winding movement. The Caliber 400 movement has been spec’d to run between +5 and -3 seconds per day, is resistant to magnetism up to 2,250 Gauss, and features a 5-day power reserve.
The Details: This Oris Divers Sixty Five Hodinkee Caliber 400 is number 393 of 400 of the limited edition. There is some wear on the case and lugs which are visible in the photographs. Included with this timepiece is an Uncle Seiko Tropic Strap.
