Pre-Owned Fortis Novonaut N-42 AMADEE-24 Limited Edition, Full Set

While Fortis is a well-known name among horological enthusiasts and watch collectors, its name may not be as familiar to everyone. Fortis is one of the few watchmakers in the world that remains independent to this day, despite its rich history in Swiss watchmaking. Fortis was founded in 1912 by Walter Vogt. In 1926, Fortis, in collaboration with watch inventor John Harwood, introduced the first automatic watch to be put into production, thereby setting the stage for the emergence of many major brands on the market today, such as Rolex, Omega, and others. Later, in 1940, Fortis pioneered the way for one of the first water-resistant watches ever built.

The Fortis N-42 Novonaut AMADEE edition features a 42mm titanium case with a sapphire crystal and a bidirectional rotating countdown bezel.  The black dial features both vertical brushing and semi-circular engraving on the right half, with lumed Arabic numerals, a small 30-minute counter, a central chronograph seconds hand, a small seconds counter, the AMADEE-24 mission patch, and day and date windows at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by the in-house WERK-17 automatic movement, the AMADEE-24 features a 60-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 200 meters.

This pre-owned Fortis N-42 Novonaut AMADEE-24 is one of 100 units produced.  Included with this timepiece are the original outer box sleeve, the inner box, the warranty card, the operating manual, the limited edition serial number certificate, the certificate holder, the
serial number hang tag, and the original Fortis titanium bracelet.
