  • The History:

Seiko began its rich history in 1881, when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in central Tokyo to repair and sell watches.  Eleven years later, he established the Seikosha Factory and began manufacturing wall clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, marking the beginning of what is now known as Seiko.  A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko
developed the first Japanese-made divers’ watch.

The Seiko Chronograph Ref 6139-6012 features a 39mm x 43mm
tonneau-shaped stainless steel case with a mineral crystal.  The black dial features a tachymeter scale at the outer edge, lumed hour markers, lumed hour and minute hands, a 30-minute counter sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position, an English/Arabic day wheel with a date window at the 3 o’clock position, and a red central chronograph hand.  The 6139-6012 is powered by the 17-jewel automatic Caliber 6139B movement.

  • The Details:

This Seiko Chronograph Ref 6139-6012 has some visible scratches on the mineral crystal and includes the original Seiko H-link bracelet.
