Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver's U.S. Special Edition SPB423, Full Set

Seiko began its rich history in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in central Tokyo, repairing and selling watches.  Eleven years later, he established the Seikosha Factory and began manufacturing wall clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, marking the beginning of what is now known as Seiko.  A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese-made divers’ watch.

The Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver’s U.S. Special Edition Ref SPB423 features a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a dark gray unidirectional rotating timing bezel and a curved sapphire crystal.  The light blue-gray dial is patterned to suggest the icy surfaces of the perilous
yet beautiful Alaska Moulins, featuring LumiBrite lumed hands and hour markers, as well as a date window at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by a Caliber 6R35 automatic movement, the SPB423 features a 70-hour power reserve and is water-resistant to 200 meters, meeting ISO standards and making it suitable for scuba diving.

This Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver’s U.S. Special Edition SPB423 includes the original inner and outer boxes, the instruction manual, the warranty booklet, the warranty card, the hang tag, and the original stainless steel Seiko bracelet.
