Seiko began its rich history in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop repairing and selling watches in central Tokyo.  Eleven years later, he opened a factory called the Seikosha Factory and began building wall
clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, which became the beginnings of what we know as Seiko today.  A true pioneer in
watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese-made divers watch.

The Seiko 55th Anniversary 62MAS Ref SLA043 features a 39.9mm Ever-Brilliant steel case and case back with etchings of the limited edition production number as well as the original dolphin logo from the
62MAS case back, a sapphire crystal, and a unidirectional rotating bezel.  The blue dial of the SLA043 features applied lumed hour markers,
stick hour and minute hands, a teal blue seconds hand, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by the Seiko Caliber 8L35 movement, the SLA043 features a 50-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 200 meters.

Included with this Seiko Prospex Diver 55th Anniversary 62MAS SLA043 are the outer and inner boxes, the warranty card, the instruction manual,
original hangtags, and the blue and black rubber straps with steel buckles.
