Seiko Prospex Land Ref SPB121, Full Set

Seiko began its rich history in 1881, when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in central Tokyo that repaired and sold watches.  Eleven years later, he opened a factory called the Seikosha Factory and began building wall clocks and pocket watches.  After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, which began what we know as Seiko today.  A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese-made diver’s watch.

The Seiko SPB121 features a 39.5mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, an exhibition case back, a screw-down crown, and an additional crown at the 4 o’clock position that is used to set the internal compass bezel.  The green dial features a sunburst pattern, an internal rotating compass bezel, applied gold-colored hour markers, lumed cathedral-style hands, and a date window at 3 o’clock.  Powered by the automatic Caliber 6R35 movement, the SPB121 has a 70-hour power reserve and is water-resistant to 200 meters.

This Seiko Prospex Land Ref SPB121 includes the original outer and inner boxes, the warranty card, the instruction manual, the original hang tag, and the original brown leather strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle.
