Seiko Prospex PADI "Arnie" SNJ027 6N2498
About This Watch:
A modern interpretation of the 1982 Hybrid Divers Watches worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Prospex PADI Solar Ref SNJ027 is affectionately known as “The Arnie”, based on the various versions of Seiko’s original Analog/Digital Hybrid timepieces worn by the actor during some of his biggest action films of the 1980s.
The History: Seiko began it’s rich history in 1881, when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop repairing and selling watches in central Tokyo. Eleven years later, he opened a factory called the Seikosha Factory and began building wall clocks, and later pocket watches. After an earthquake and fire destroyed the original factory, Hattori reopened with a new vision, which became the beginnings of what we know as Seiko today. A true pioneer in watchmaking, Seiko developed the first Japanese made divers watch.
The Watch: The Seiko Prospex PADI SNJ027 features a 47.8mm stainless steel case with a matte black case guard, a sapphire crystal, and a black silicone strap. Powered by the Caliber H851 movement, the SNJ027 will hold a 6-month power reserve when fully charged. The Arnie has both analog and digital displays and features an alarm, a stopwatch, a local-time, and a power reserve display function.
The Condition: This Pre-Owned Seiko Prospex PADI SNJ027 includes both outer and inner boxes, owners manual, registration card, warranty booklet, warranty card, hangtags, and the Seiko black silicone strap with stainless steel buckle.
