The Serica 4512 WMB Edition is inspired by the vintage “Dirty Dozen” timepieces produced during World War II.  Produced in collaboration between the French watch blog “Les Rhabilleurs” and the “WM Brown Project,” which was founded by Matthew Hranek, author of “A Man and His Watch,” the WMB Edition Serica features a distinct flat brushed bezel and a military-inspired dial with an inner 13-24 hour track inside the 1-12 hour track.

The History:

Serica was founded in 2019 by Jérôme Burgert and Gabriel Vachette who teamed together to produce sophisticated timepieces that meet the highest standards in watchmaking.  Their initial timepiece, the Serica Field Watch W.W.W. was released in 2019, followed by the Ref 4512 in 2020.

The Watch:

The Serica 4512 WMB Edition features a 37.7mm stainless steel case with a fixed bezel, which is flat and brushed on the top, with a polished sloped edge and a domed mineral crystal.  The dial is a white lacquer with Arabic numerals and a railroad-style minute track, an inner 13-24 hour track, a broad arrow handset, and vintage-colored Super Luminova lume plots at the hour markers. Powered by a manual wind movement, the 4512 has a water resistance rating of 100 meters.

The Details:

This Serica 4512 WMB Edition shows some wear around the polished bezel edges and case, which are visible in the photographs.  Included with this timepiece is the stainless steel Serica bonklip bracelet.
