More Info
  • The History:

The Heuer brand was created in 1860 and specialized in stopwatches and chronographs.  Their focus was on instruments used in sports, such as dashboard timers.  However, the focus shifted for Heuer brands in the late 1950s and early 1960s, as the popularity of chronograph wristwatches was gaining momentum.  In 1962, when Jack Heuer, a race car driver and motorsport enthusiast, became head of the company, he spearheaded the creation of the Carrera watch.

  • The Watch:

The Grande Date Ref CAH1014 features a 44mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating bezel and a sapphire crystal.  The black dial features a tachymeter scale at the outer edge, with a red accent running from the 12 to 3 o’clock position, a date window at the 12 o’clock position, and three sub-dials at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. Lume plots are found at the ends of the applied hour markers. The hour and minute sword-shaped hands are lumed, with a red central chronograph seconds hand.  The Kimi Raikkonen CAH1014 was produced in a limited edition run of 10000 numbered pieces and is powered by a Ronda 5040B Quartz Chronograph movement.
