  • The History:

Ulysse Nardin founded his company in 1846, at the age of 23.  Following years of apprenticeship under master watchmakers in Switzerland, Ulysse set out on his own to produce high-precision marine chronometers for commercial ships and navies worldwide.  In 1862, he was awarded the top prize for complicated watches and pocket chronometers at the International Exhibition in London.  After Ulysse passed away in 1876, his son Paul-David took over the company. He continued to expand its offerings and win several more prestigious awards worldwide for its precision timepieces.

The Ulysse Nardin San Marco GMT Ref 203-22 features a 36.5mm polished stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal and a solid case back.  The salmon-colored dial features tritium-lumed Arabic numerals, lumed sword-shaped hour and minute hands, a date window at the 3 o’clock position, and a second time zone indicator at the 11 o’clock position.  Powered by an ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement, the 203-22 GMT has a water resistance rating of 100 meters.
