The Unimatic x Massena LAB Modello Uno Marine U1-MLM is a limited-edition dive watch that blends Unimatic’s minimalist Italian design with vintage-inspired details drawn from French Navy dive watches of the 1960s. Its distinctive faded blue dial, hand-applied lume, and matching blue bezel give each piece a unique character, while the 40mm stainless steel case houses a reliable automatic Seiko NH35 movement.   • The History:

Massena Lab is a design studio led by William Massena.  Massena began as a passionate collector and active participant in horology, which has led to design collaborations with some of the world's most renowned watchmakers.   Unimatic is an Italian watch brand founded in 2015 by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato, two industrial designers with a shared passion for watches. They met at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy's largest technical university, where they both studied industrial design. Unimatic focuses on minimalist, tool-like watches, often inspired by vintage dive watches, with a strong emphasis on design and
functionality.

  • The Watch:

The Unimatic X Massena Lab Marine U1-MLM features a 40mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal and a unidirectional 120-click bezel with a blue metallic insert, 60-minute markers in silver, and a raised lume dot.  The blue dial matches the bezel insert and features hand-applied Super-Luminova lumed indices and a lumed handset.  The U1-MLM is powered by the automatic Seiko Caliber NH35A movement with a 41-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 300 meters.
