The Aquastar Seatime Geneva Ref 1000 was produced during the 1970s and was considered a highly innovative dive watch. To prevent accidental turning of the bezel, the rotating bezel is underneath the crystal. Unlike other dive watch models with an internal bezel, there is only one crown for adjusting the bezel, setting the time and date, and winding the watch.

More Info
  • The History:

Aquastar was launched in 1962 by Frederic Robert, an entrepreneur and dive enthusiast who desired to produce watches and other instruments for use in oceanic activities.  Leading the way with groundbreaking patents for designs not yet found in dive watches of the time, including water-resistant crowns, inner rotating bezels, and “no decompression”
calculation bezels. Aquastar became known for purpose-built tool watches, uniquely designed and tailored to a divers needs.

  • The Watch:

The Aquastar Seatime Geneve Ref 1000 features a tonneau-shaped 39mm x 45mm stainless steel case with a plexiglas crystal and the original Aquastar crown.  The matte black dial features tritium-lumed hour plots, a date window at the 3 o’clock position, and an orange running seconds hand.

  • The Details:

This Aquastar Seatime Geneve Ref 1000 appears unpolished, with sharp case lines present and the original sunburst pattern still intact on the front of the case, and wear consistent with a timepiece of this
age. The dial is in very good condition, with some marks on the crystal, which are visible in the photos. The tritium lume plots have developed a consistent patina. An aftermarket mesh bracelet is included with this timepiece.
