More Info
  • The History:

The GUB (VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe) was an East German state-owned company formed in 1951 from a collectivized group of watchmakers from Glashütte after WWII, producing reliable mechanical and later quartz watches until reunification in 1990.

  • The Watch:

The Glashütte Spezimatic Caliber 75 features a square-shaped 34.6mm stainless steel case with a domed acrylic crystal.  The dial features applied hour markers and a date window at the three o’clock position.  This timepiece is powered by the automatic GUB Caliber 75 26-jewel
movement.

  • The Details:

This Glashütte Spezimatic shows patina on the dial and hands, which is consistent with a timepiece of this age.  Included with this timepiece is an aftermarket Hodinkee brown leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
