  • The History:

Founded in 2014 by R.T. Custer and Tyler Wolfe, Vortic Watch Company was established to preserve America’s rich watchmaking heritage through innovative, American-made timepieces. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, the company is best known for its American Artisan Series, which transforms restored antique American pocket watch movements, dials, and hands into distinctive modern wristwatches. By combining traditional horological craftsmanship with contemporary manufacturing technology, Vortic gives historic timepieces a new life while celebrating American ingenuity and the enduring legacy of domestic watchmaking.

  • The Watch:

The Vortic Springfield features a bronzed, 3D-printed titanium case with a sapphire crystal, a large crown at 12 o’clock, and an exhibition case back.  The dial is an antique Illinois pocket watch dial with large Arabic numerals and a small seconds dial at 6 o’clock.  A manual-wind Illinois Watch Co. Autocrat movement powers the Springfield.

This Vortic Springfield WindUp 3rd Edition is number 4 of 10 pieces produced and includes the original Vortic wood case and the original Ox Blood shell cordovan leather strap.
